Setting Up the Water Distiller

Before you begin using your water distiller, it’s important to set it up correctly. Follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the water distiller carefully, ensuring all parts are intact, including the rubber ring.
  2. Wrap the rubber ring around the bottom of the glass container to provide stability on your counter surface.
  3. Position the water distiller on a stable and level surface near a power outlet. Avoid using extensions.

Initial Use

Prior to using the water distiller for the first time, it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle. Here’s how:

  1. Fill the water distiller with tap water and run a cycle set to 100 degrees, but discard the water afterwards. This helps to remove any manufacturing residues and ensures the cleanliness of the distiller.

Regular Maintenance

To keep your water distiller in good working condition, follow these maintenance steps:

  1. After each use, unplug the water distiller from the electricity.
  2. Allow the distiller to cool down completely before handling or cleaning.
  3. Empty any remaining water from the chamber and rinse it thoroughly. Do not get the plug or connections wet.
  4. Wipe down the exterior of the distiller with a damp cloth to remove any spills or stains.

Chamber Maintenance

To maintain the boiling chamber of your water distiller, follow these steps:

  1. Rinse and wipe out the boiling chamber after each use once it has cooled down using tap water and a nylon dish brush.
  2. Use a dry cloth to wipe the underside of the fan unit after each use to avoid potential corrosion.
  3. Never use abrasive cleaners, such as steel wool or steel soap pads, as they can damage the distiller.

Using the Residue Cleaner to Descale Boiling Chamber

Calcification and residue can build up on the bottom of the boiling chamber and should be removed every 2-4 weeks. Follow these instructions to do so:

  1. Pour enough hot water into the boiling chamber to cover the residue (at least 1 liter).
  2. Add 1-4 teaspoons of Residue Cleaner, depending on the amount of residue.
  3. Disconnect and remove the fan unit, then start a cycle by pushing the front button.
  4. Once boiling, leave the distiller running for a few minutes before turning it off at the wall.
  5. Carefully pour out the water and wash the inside of the boiling chamber with tap water.
  6. If residue is not completely removed, you can repeat the process. Some residue may be difficult to remove depending on your tap water quality.

    Important Safety Notice

When running a cleaning cycle, never put the fan unit on top of the boiling chamber. Additionally, do not allow all the water to fully boil and evaporate out of the boiling chamber, as this can occur if the machine is left running unattended.

By following these instructions, you can ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of your water distiller, allowing you to enjoy clean and purified water for years to come.

Guide to Replacing Your Activated Carbon Filter

Water distillers are a popular choice for purifying water at home, providing clean and safe drinking water. One important component of a water distiller is the activated carbon filter. This filter plays a crucial role in removing impurities and improving the taste of the distilled water.

Replacing the activated carbon filter is a simple process that can be done at home. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you replace your activated carbon filter:

Step 1: Gather the necessary materials

Before you begin, make sure you have all the materials you need. This includes a new activated carbon filter, gloves, and a clean cloth.

Step 2: Turn off and unplug the water distiller

For safety reasons, it’s important to turn off and unplug the water distiller before replacing the filter.

Step 3: Locate the filter housing

The filter housing is usually located on the top or side of the water distiller. Consult your user manual if you’re unsure about the exact location. Clue: it’s where the clean water drips out!

Step 4: Remove the old filter

Carefully remove the old activated carbon filter from the filter housing. Dispose of it properly.

Step 5: Clean the filter housing

Using a clean cloth, wipe the filter housing to remove any debris or residue.

Step 6: Install the new filter

Take the new activated carbon filter and place it into the filter housing. Make sure it fits securely.

Step 7: Reassemble and test

Reassemble any parts that were removed during the process. Once everything is back in place, turn on the water distiller and run a test cycle to ensure the new filter is working properly.

It’s recommended to replace the activated carbon filter every 3-6 months, depending on usage and water quality. Regularly replacing the filter will help maintain the performance and efficiency of your water distiller.

By following this guide, you can easily replace the activated carbon filter on your water distiller and continue enjoying clean and great-tasting water.

Storage

Proper storage of your water distiller is important to maintain its longevity. Follow these guidelines:

  1. When not in use, store the water distiller in a clean and dry environment.
  2. Avoid storing the distiller near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  3. Keep the distiller covered to prevent dust or debris from accumulating inside.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your water distiller, it’s best to refer to the manufacturer’s manual for troubleshooting steps. Attempting to repair the distiller yourself may void the warranty.

Safety Precautions

When using and handling your water distiller, it’s important to prioritize safety. Follow these precautions:

  1. Always handle the water distiller with care to avoid injury or damage.
  2. Never operate the distiller without water in the glass container, as this could cause overheating.
  3. Keep the distiller out of reach of children and pets.
