Setting Up the Water Distiller

Before you begin using your water distiller, it’s important to set it up correctly. Follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the water distiller carefully, ensuring all parts are intact, including the rubber ring.
  2. Wrap the rubber ring around the bottom of the glass container to provide stability on your counter surface.
  3. Position the water distiller on a stable and level surface near a power outlet. Avoid using extensions.

 

Initial Use

Prior to using the water distiller for the first time, it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle. Here’s how:

  1. Fill the water distiller with tap water and run a cycle set to 100 degrees, but discard the water afterwards. This helps to remove any manufacturing residues and ensures the cleanliness of the distiller.

Regular Maintenance

To keep your water distiller in good working condition, follow these maintenance steps:

  1. After each use, unplug the water distiller from the electricity.
  2. Allow the distiller to cool down completely before handling or cleaning.

Using the Residue Cleaner to Descale Boiling Chamber

Calcification and residue can build up on the bottom of the boiling chamber and should be removed every 2-4 weeks. Follow these instructions to do so:

  1. Pour enough hot water into the boiling chamber to cover the residue (at least 1 liter).
  2. Add 1-4 teaspoons of Residue Cleaner, depending on the amount of residue.
  3. Disconnect and remove the fan unit, then start a cycle by pushing the front button.
  4. Once boiling, leave the distiller running for a few minutes before turning it off at the wall.
  5. Carefully pour out the water and wash the inside of the boiling chamber with tap water.
  6. If residue is not completely removed, you can repeat the process. Some residue may be difficult to remove depending on your tap water quality.

    Important Safety Notice

    When running a cleaning cycle, never put the fan unit on top of the boiling chamber. Additionally, do not allow all the water to fully boil and evaporate out of the boiling chamber, as this can occur if the machine is left running unattended.
